Story

I am loving the contrast of the gritty and matte way gouache dries with touches of metallic to detail the crevices of this cave portal. I call out Holbein because there’s really no better gouache I have found that is this fun to paint with and their Japanese themed color palettes are incredibly unique. I also think I discovered a new favorite color combo. As I laid out this combination, I wanted to challenge myself with creating some different shapes within the negative space.
